{"id":10806,"date":"2026-04-22T08:12:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T08:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alacpakistan.com\/event2024\/?p=10806"},"modified":"2026-04-22T08:53:30","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T08:53:30","slug":"secp-enforces-ubo-disclosure-to-strengthen-transparency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alacpakistan.com\/event2024\/2026\/04\/22\/secp-enforces-ubo-disclosure-to-strengthen-transparency\/","title":{"rendered":"SECP enforces UBO disclosure to strengthen transparency"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has directed all companies to ensure timely submission of Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) information through Form-19 on its eZfile portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/alacpakistan.com\/event2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10807\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alacpakistan.com\/event2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-4.png 1000w, https:\/\/alacpakistan.com\/event2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-4-400x240.png 400w, https:\/\/alacpakistan.com\/event2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image-4-768x461.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Apr 21 (APP):The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has directed all companies to ensure timely submission of Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) information through Form-19 on its eZfile portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Section 123A of the Companies Act, 2017, requires all companies to file Form-19 declaring Ultimate Beneficial Ownership along with their annual return, says a press release issued by the SECP on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disclosure of UBO information is essential to ensure corporate transparency, prevent misuse of corporate structures, and strengthen Pakistan\u2019s framework for combating money laundering and illicit financial flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UBO refers to the natural person(s) who ultimately own or control a company, whether directly or indirectly.
