Social Accountability Tools/Approach - Mid-Career Management Course at National Institute of Management

Mid-Career Management course was conducted by National Institute of Management, Karachi. The institute conducts training of government officials from grade 17 to 19. They invited TI Pakistan to deliver a training on Social Accountability Tools/Approaches. Mr. Ashfaque Ahmed, Project Coordinator TI Pakistan gave training to 48 participants on tools of social accountability used by TI Pakistan in their advocacy. He also discussed the corruption situation in the country and the active role of civil society. The shrinking civil society space was also discussed in the session. Citizen Report Card Study, Right to Information Law, Citizen meeting with Local Govt. officials, use of complaint Data base for Advocacy and Mobile ALAC were comprehensively discussed. The session lasted for 2 hours. In this very interactive session, the participants asked lots of questions which were answered satisfactorily.
