Workshop on Strengthening and Enforcement of Anti-Corruption Mechanism in Hyderabad - 7th March 2018

On 7th March 2018 Transparency Intentional Pakistan in collaboration with Center for Advocacy, Research and Democracy (CARD) Sindh organized a training workshop on Strengthening and Enforcement of Anti-Corruption Mechanism in Hyderabad. The objective of the training was to give awareness about anti-corruption mechanism and to improve capacity of government officials in strengthening, enforcement of Anti-Corruption mechanism. A total of 25 participants including 4 women from ten departments participated in the workshop including Social Welfare Department, Education Department, Sindh Environment Protection Agency, Labour Department, Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority, Agricultural Department, Health, District Administration, Local Government and Provincial Disaster Management Authority. Representatives from civil society organizations also participated to sharing their views/experience regarding social accountability and anti-corruption mechanism. TI Pakistan representative Ashfaque Ahmed gave a presentation on components of anti-corruption mechanism, causes of corruption, anti-corruption tools and strategies, and social accountability. Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Hyderabad Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Abro also joined and appreciated the work of TI Pakistan.
